Obverse description Bull charging to the left in a dynamic butting posture, its head turned frontally to face the viewer, rendered in high relief with naturalistic musculature. The animal is depicted with forelegs bent and hindquarters raised, conveying powerful forward momentum. A dotted exergual line runs beneath the bull, separating it from the lower field. The composition fills the flan with confident archaic draftsmanship characteristic of Phliasian coinage of the early fourth century BC.
