A bust of the king facing right. The crown is in the form of three teeth, wings and crescent with a star. The diadem is two rows of `pearls`. To the left there is a star, and to the right of the crown a crescent with a star. The king`s hair is in a knot, and he wears an earrings consisting of three beads, He has a beard and moustache. There is a neacklace in the form of one rowof smell beads around his neck. `Royal`ribbons turned upwards flutter under his shoulders; and there is a crescentunder his left shoulder. On his shoulders are crescents with stars. There is a double rim around the picture. On the coin`s rim there are three crescents with stars. There is a counermark on the obverse. Pahlavi legend

Reverse description
An `atasdan` with two attendats standing facing ahead. The column of the `atasdan` is covered with ribbons with the ends pointing upwards. To the left of the `atasdan` there is a star, to the right a crescent. There is a triple rim around the picture. Four crescent with stars are symmetrically placed of the field of the coin.
