Obverse description Draped and cuirassed bust of Henri IV facing right, laureate, with a flat collar rendered in the style associated with Henri III. The bust is positioned within a 13 mm inner circle, with the legend commencing at 6 o'clock. The effigy reflects the transitional artistic conventions of the early Henri IV coinage, retaining iconographic elements inherited from the preceding reign.
