Reverse description Three fleurs-de-lis arranged 2 and 1 in the field, the heraldic emblem of the French royal house. The circular legend commences at 12 o'clock and is not enclosed within a circle. The mint mark consists of two crescents (brisure), attributed to mint master Jean Malus (active 1587-1594), with the magistrate's mark of Domingue de Hariet (active 1573-1592). The date appears within the legend.
