Obverse description Three-quarter-length laureate, bearded, and cuirassed bust of Henri III facing right, with a flat collar. The bust is identical in style to that used at the Nantes mint from 1579 to 1584. A rose on a crescent serves as the mintmark for Angers, attributable to mintmaster Pierre Fleuriot (1577-1584). The legend commences at 6 o'clock within a 13 mm inner circle.
