Obverse description Central device comprising a trefoil or trilobe composed of three interlocking circles, each containing a fleur-de-lis, forming a stylized royal emblem within a beaded inner circle. The arrangement places two fleurs-de-lis in the upper lobes and one in the lower lobe, evoking the traditional arms of France. A beaded border encloses the entire design, with a partial circular Latin legend running along the outer rim. The overall style is characteristic of late 15th-century French hammered billon coinage, rendered in low relief on an irregular flan.
