Obverse description Central field displays three fleurs-de-lis arranged in two-over-one formation, the grouping surmounted by a royal crown rendered in relief. The entire central device is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A Latin legend encircles the design within the outer border, also composed of beading. The style is characteristic of late French Renaissance hammered coinage, with the fleurs-de-lis rendered in the florid Gothic tradition.
