Obverse description Central field features a large Roman capital H surmounted by an ornate royal crown, with three fleurs-de-lis positioned around the monogram — one to the left, one to the right, and one below. The entire design is enclosed within a circular legend in Latin characters reading HENRICVS 4 D G FRAN ET NAVARRE REX, separated by pellets, running along the beaded inner border. The coin is struck on an irregular flan typical of hammered billon coinage of the period, with some weakness at the edges.

Reverse description Central device consists of a plain cross with a fleur-de-lis finial at each of the four terminals, creating an ornate cruciform composition. The four quarters of the cross are plain. The surrounding circular legend in Latin reads SIT NOMEN DOMINI BENEDICTVM followed by the mint date, separated by pellets, enclosed within a beaded border. The flan is irregular and shows characteristic surface texture of hammered billon coinage.
