Obverse description Draped bust of Alberico I Cybo Malaspina facing right, depicted with curly hair and a short beard, wearing an elaborately ornamented cuirass with a ruffled collar. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the late Renaissance style characteristic of Italian principality coinage. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the portrait, with the abbreviated date '93' incorporated into the inscription. An inner circle separates the effigy from the peripheral legend.
