Reverse description A turreted castle, the heraldic symbol of the island of Ibiza (Eivissa), depicted centrally on the flan with crenellations visible atop the tower and stylized waves or foliage at its base. The design is rendered in a bold but crude hammered style. A partial circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, reading: + VNIVER · EVISA · DNS, referencing the universitat (governing body) of Eivissa. The overall strike is uneven, characteristic of locally produced hammered billon coinage.
