Obverse description Crowned facing bust of King Alfonso V within a beaded inner circle, the monarch depicted in a schematic, Gothic style with a prominent crown visible above the face. The bust is rendered in low relief with a collar or drapery indicated below the neck. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, reading + ARAGONVM ET MAIORICARVM, all within the coin's irregular hammered flan.

Reverse description A plain cross pattée with splayed arms occupies the central field, dividing the reverse into four equal quadrants. The cross is boldly struck in low relief, typical of Majorcan billon coinage of the period. A circular Latin legend surrounds the cross, reading + ALFONSUS DEI GRAC, the full titulature of Alfonso V being abbreviated owing to the limited flan size. The overall style is characteristic of late medieval Iberian hammered coinage.
