Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet with the crest adorned by a figural Scylla wielding a trident, rendered in high relief. The goddess's facial features exhibit the refined Italic-Greek style characteristic of Thourian coinage of the late fourth century BC. Fine engraving detail is evident in the cheek guards and crest support of the helmet.

Reverse description A bull charging and butting to the right, depicted with powerful musculature above a dotted ground line, a standard reverse type for Thourian coinage alluding to the fertility and strength of the colony. The ethnic inscription ΘOYPIΩN appears above the bull along with the magistrate's name EYΦA, identifying this issue as struck under the authority of the magistrate Euphantides or a similarly abbreviated official. A thyrsos is placed to the right in the exergue, serving as an additional control mark.
