| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet adorned with a figure of Scylla brandishing a trident, rendered in fine archaic-Classical style. The facial features are carefully modeled, with the cheekpieces of the helmet framing the goddess's profile. The crest of the helmet rises prominently above, and the overall composition reflects the high-quality die-engraving characteristic of Thourian coinage of this period. |

| Reverse description | A bull charging and butting to the right, rendered with vigorous naturalism, its musculature and lowered head conveying powerful forward momentum. The ethnic legend ΘΟΥΡΙΩΝ appears in the field above the animal, identifying the issuing city of Thourioi. A dotted exergual line separates the main field from the exergue, within which a fish is depicted swimming to the right, a reference to the maritime setting and resources of the colony. The composition is bold and dynamic, consistent with the finest Lucanian silver coinage of the late 4th century BC. |
