Obverse description Wreathed head of Tanit facing left, hair elaborately rolled and adorned with a grain-ear wreath, wearing a prominent crested Corinthian-style helmet; the facial features are rendered in a Hellenistic idiom with a softly modeled cheek and slightly parted lips. The bust is draped, with the neck and shoulder visible in three-quarter profile. The field is plain and uninscribed, consistent with Carthaginian bronze coinage of the First Punic War period.

Reverse description Horse standing right, its head turned slightly downward with a bridle visible; the animal is depicted in a naturalistic stance with musculature carefully modeled. In the lower right field, a palm tree or palmette symbol is prominently placed — a quintessential emblem of Carthage and the Punic world. The field is otherwise plain and devoid of legend, characteristic of Carthaginian bronze issues of this series.
