Obverse description Central field dominated by a bold Arabic calligraphic inscription arranged in two registers within a rectangular cartouche, bearing the Sultan's tughra-style titulature. The inscription is executed in a characteristic Ottoman square Kufic style with angular, interlocking letterforms. A horizontal rule divides the field into upper and lower panels, each containing a line of the royal legend. The irregular flan edge is typical of hammered coinage of the period.

Reverse description Reverse field displays a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged within a rectangular cartouche divided by a horizontal rule, recording the mint name Baghdad and the regnal year. The bold, angular letterforms are rendered in the square Kufic tradition characteristic of Ottoman provincial hammered silver coinage of the sixteenth century. The irregular flan shows typical characteristics of hand-struck production, with slight weakness at the periphery.
