Obverse description Hammered silver dirham with the entire field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script, arranged in horizontal registers within a plain inner circle bordered by a dotted rim. The legend opens with the Shahada (declaration of faith) followed by the name of the Abbasid Caliph al-Musta'sim Billah and the honorific title 'al-Sultan al-Mu'azzam', concluding with the name of Kaykhusraw ibn Kilij Arslan. The bold, deeply struck lettering exhibits the angular, monumental style characteristic of Seljuk-period Anatolian silver coinage. The flat, undecorated field places full emphasis on the theological and dynastic text.
