Obverse description Central field bears the Arabic honorific inscription 'Qa'an al-'Adil' (The Just Qa'an) executed in bold Naskh script, enclosed within a geometric multi-pointed star or hexagonal decorative border formed by interlacing lines with a beaded inner frame. The angular cartouche rises prominently in relief against the flat field, with the decorative border panels visible at the upper and lower margins of the flan. The overall design reflects the distinctive Ilkhanid hammered coinage aesthetic, combining Mongol titulature with Islamic calligraphic tradition.
