| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized bird or peacock in profile facing right, rendered in low relief in a bold, archaic figural style characteristic of Artuqid and related Anatolian billon coinage of the late 12th century. The creature's body is compact and rounded, with a pronounced tail and raised head, positioned against a flat, unadorned field. A circular border surrounds the central device, with traces of a marginal legend in the periphery, largely worn and partially legible. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-hammered production. The overall strike is moderately centered with softness at the edges. |
