Obverse description Frontal enthroned figure of the ruler depicted in a stylized manner, seated cross-legged on a throne with arms extended or resting symmetrically, enclosed within a beaded or dotted inner circle. The design is characteristic of Artuqid pictorial coinage, rendered in bold, high-relief die-work typical of 13th-century Anatolian copper dirhams. A circular Arabic legend runs within the outer margin of the field.

Reverse description Multiple lines of Arabic Kufic or Naskh inscription filling the entire reverse field, presenting the names and titles of the issuing ruler Nasir al-Din Artuq Arslan and his Ayyubid overlord al-Kamil Muhammad. The text is arranged in horizontal registers across the flan, a layout typical of Artuqid copper coinage of the Mardin mint. The heavily worn surfaces and irregular flan edges are consistent with hammered production and extended circulation.
