Obverse description Irregular square flan struck by hammer technique, displaying bold raised Arabic script in Maghribi calligraphic style across the entire field, divided into two registers by a horizontal line. The upper register bears the opening words of the Quranic basmala legend, while the lower register continues the religious inscription. The field shows a dotted border along the lower and lateral margins, characteristic of Wattasid coinage. The surface exhibits natural wear and patination consistent with circulation use.
