Reverse description Irregular hammered flan displaying the Hijri date rendered in large Arabic numerals prominently in the center of the field, reading 'عام 1254' (Year 1254, corresponding to 1838 CE). The numerals are enclosed within a partial crescent or arc motif, with a border of small pellets running along the lower periphery of the flan. The calligraphy and layout are consistent with Alaoui Sharifian hammered dirham coinage struck under Sultan Moulay Abd al-Rahman.
