Obverse description Hammered silver dirham with an irregular flan exhibiting characteristic Samanid die style. The central field bears the Shahada inscription arranged in multiple horizontal lines, with the declaration of faith reading 'There is no god but God alone, He has no partner' in the inner area. A circular marginal legend surrounds the central text, carrying the Quranic verse (Quran 9:33) attesting to the Prophet Muhammad's mission. The mint formula in the lower field records the place of striking as Bukhara and the regnal year in AH. The coin displays iridescent toning with raised Arabic Kufic script throughout.
