Obverse description Central field contains a multi-line Arabic religious inscription arranged in three horizontal lines within a plain inner circle, surrounded by a marginal legend in Arabic Kufic script enclosed between two concentric dotted borders. The inscription follows the standard Abbasid-derived epigraphic dirham format, with the shahada and related formulae rendered in angular early Kufic calligraphy. The overall design is entirely epigraphic with no figurative elements, consistent with early Islamic numismatic tradition. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, characteristic of hand-struck hammered coinage of the period.
