Reverse description Central field displays a four-line Arabic Kufic inscription arranged within a single-ruled rectangular border, enclosed by a beaded circle. The uppermost line of the central panel bears a distinctive diacritic flourish above the text. A circular marginal legend in Kufic script runs within the outer rim, recording the mint name and Hijri date. The design is wholly epigraphic, consistent with Aghlabid silver coinage modelled on Abbasid prototypes, with the reverse typically bearing the Quranic profession of faith and the name of the ruling amir.
