Obverse description Frontal enthroned figure of Christ Pantokrator depicted in Byzantine iconographic style, seated facing on a high-backed throne with ornate decorative elements. The nimbed head is shown in three-quarter relief with a cruciform nimbus, and the figure is robed in imperial vestments with both arms extended and resting on the throne arms. Arabic inscriptions occupy the flanking fields to the left and right of the enthroned figure, integrating Islamic epigraphy with Christian iconography in a manner characteristic of Artuqid coinage. The design is enclosed within a beaded border.
