| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic-script legend arranged in two horizontal registers separated by a ruled line, proclaiming the name and titles of Khan Toqtamish. The inscription reads 'Sultan Toqtamish Khan the Highest' in bold, deeply struck Naskh-style lettering. Small pellet ornaments are visible between words as decorative separators. The flan is irregular in outline, characteristic of hammered steppe coinage, with the legend frequently running to the edge. The field shows a warm brown patina on a silver substrate. |
