Obverse description Central field occupied by three lines of bold Arabic Naskh legend reading 'al-Sultan al-Adil / Nasir al-Din / Toqtamish Khan', proclaiming the ruler's titles and name. The script is deeply struck and boldly rendered across the flan, characteristic of late Golden Horde hammered coinage. The field surface is slightly convex with natural flow lines from the hammering process, and the irregular flan edge shows typical clipping marks. No decorative border or cartouche frames the inscription.
