| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in bold, slightly cursive script, reading the royal titulature of Khan Toqtamish. The inscription, reading 'Just Sultan Nasir ed-din Toqtamish Shah', is distributed across three or four lines and fills the flan in the characteristic Golden Horde epigraphic style. The lettering is raised in high relief against a flat, granular field typical of hammered coinage, with the irregular flan edge showing the characteristic clipped appearance of Jochid silver dirhams. No figural imagery is present, consistent with Islamic numismatic convention. |
