| Obverse description | Aniconic design consisting entirely of Arabic calligraphic legend disposed across the field in multiple lines, without border or decorative frame. The inscription names the ruler as Sultan the Just, Nasir ad-Din Tochtamysh Khan, rendered in bold Naskh-influenced script characteristic of late Golden Horde coinage. The flan is irregularly shaped, as typical of hammered Jochid dirhams, with the legend partially clipped at the margins. The relief is bold and uneven, reflecting the hand-struck production technique. |

| Reverse description | Aniconic reverse bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription filling the field, recording the mint name and regnal year without decorative border. The legend identifies the place of issue as Ordu al-Mu'azzam (the Great Horde) and the date as AH 789 (AD 1387), in accordance with standard Golden Horde dirham typology. The script is rendered in a bold, somewhat cursive Naskh style, with letters crowding the irregular flan. Strike is characteristic of the period, with moderate weakness at the flan edges. |
