Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in Naskh script, reading the royal titles and name of Khan Tochtamysh, with the khan's name additionally rendered in Old Uyghur script integrated into the composition. The inscription, translating as 'Sultan the Just Tochtamysh Khan, may his reign be long,' is distributed across three to four lines filling the flan. The die-struck lettering is bold and somewhat irregular, consistent with the hammered coinage tradition of the Golden Horde. The flan is slightly uneven at the edges, typical of hand-struck silver dirhams of this period.
