Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in relief, arranged within a decorative inner cartouche or arc bordered by a prominent pellet-and-line border. The inscription in Naskh-style script reads the royal titulature of the khan. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of hammered Golden Horde coinage, with the legend occasionally running off the flan edge due to the small module relative to the die.
