Obverse description Central field bearing the name of Khan Shadi Beg in Arabic script, rendered in bold raised calligraphy characteristic of late Golden Horde coinage. The inscription is arranged in multiple lines within the irregularly shaped flan, with subsidiary legend elements visible in the surrounding field. The strike is off-center, typical of hammered Jochid dirhams of this period, with portions of the marginal legend partially visible at the flan edges.

Reverse description Reverse field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription naming the mint as Ordu Mu'azzam (the Great Horde) along with the date in the Islamic AH calendar. The calligraphy is executed in the flowing Naskh style typical of late Golden Horde silver coinage, with the text filling the available field of the irregular flan. Marginal elements are partially struck and clipped at the edges due to the small, roughly planchet.
