| Obverse description | The obverse field is entirely occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend arranged within a framed quadrilateral design, a characteristic layout of Golden Horde silver coinage. The bold Naskh script inscription reads 'Sultan Muhammad Öz Beg Khan the Just,' proclaiming the ruler's name and epithet. The letters are deeply struck and boldly raised, filling the available field with little open space. An inner linear border frames the central legend, with the outer rim of the irregularly shaped flan showing the typical rough edge of hammered production. No figural imagery is present, consistent with the aniconic tradition of Islamic numismatics. |
