| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a bold multi-line Arabic legend in Naskh script, reading the royal title and name of the khan. The inscription 'Sultan the Highest Uzbeg Khan' is distributed across three or four lines filling the flan, with no border or decorative frame. The hammered surface shows characteristic irregular planchet edges and uneven strike typical of Golden Horde coinage of this period. Individual letter forms are deeply impressed and clearly legible despite the small module. |
