Obverse description The obverse features a multi-line Arabic legend in bold Naskh script occupying the entire field, reading the royal titulature of Khan Jani Beg: 'Sultan the Just Jalal al-din Mahmud Jani Beg Khan.' The inscription is arranged in three horizontal registers across the coin's face, with individual words and phrases stacked vertically in typical Golden Horde fashion. Pellet ornaments are visible at the margins, serving as decorative separators. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, characteristic of the hammered coinage of the Jochid ulus. The relief is bold and deeply struck, with the central characters raised prominently above the flat field.
