| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription in angular Kufic-influenced script, reading the royal title and name of the issuing khan. The legend is framed by a distinctive arched cartouche or niche at the top, characteristic of Golden Horde coinage of this period. A border of raised pellets encircles the design along the upper periphery of the irregularly shaped flan. The lettering is boldly struck in raised relief against a flat field, with the khan's epithet and name distributed across three lines. |
