| Obverse description | Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in relief, arranged in horizontal registers across the flan. The legend reads the royal titulature of Khan Jani Beg, proclaiming him 'the Just Sultan' and invoking a blessing upon his reign. The script is executed in a bold Naskh hand typical of mid-14th-century Golden Horde coinage. The flan is irregular in outline, characteristic of the hammered production technique, with the inscription partially affected by flan irregularities at the periphery. |
