Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in stylized Naskh script, reading 'Sultan the Just Jani-Beg Khan,' arranged in horizontal lines and partially framed by a rectangular cartouche. The inscription is flanked by decorative dot ornaments and secondary Arabic characters in the surrounding field. The flan is irregularly shaped, typical of hammered Golden Horde coinage, with portions of the legend occasionally running to the flan edge. The overall execution is characteristic of mid-14th-century Saray workshop production, with bold, deeply struck lettering.
