Obverse description Hammered silver flan of irregular round form bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged within the central field, divided by a ruled horizontal line into two registers. The upper register carries the honorific title and given name of the khan, while the lower register continues the royal titulature. The legend reads, in translation, 'The just sultan Jalal al-Din Mahmud Jani Beg Khan.' The script is executed in a bold, somewhat angular Naskh style typical of Golden Horde coinage, with a single circular border framing the inscription. The flan shows characteristic hammer-struck surface irregularities and natural die wear.
