Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend arranged within a rectangular cartouche, reading the royal titulature of Sultan Jani Beg. The inscription is rendered in bold, angular Kufic-influenced script across three horizontal registers, separated by decorative linear rules. The cartouche is framed by a border of raised pellets encircling the entire field. An ornamental interlaced knot or floral device appears at the top of the design, above the cartouche, serving as a decorative finial characteristic of Golden Horde coinage of this period.
