| Reverse description | The reverse field bears a two-line Arabic mint and date legend in raised relief, disposed in horizontal registers across the flan. The upper line reads 'Duriba bi-Gulistan' (Struck at Gulistan), identifying the mint city on the lower Volga, while the lower line gives the AH date 'sanata tis' wa-khamsin wa-sab'umi'a' (year 759, corresponding to 1358 CE). The script is executed in the same bold, angular style as the obverse, consistent with Golden Horde epigraphic convention. A partial circular border element is faintly visible along the lower rim. The irregular flan, characteristic of hand-struck Jochid silver, results in some peripheral legend loss. |
