Obverse description Central field occupied by the Golden Horde dynastic tamga with a crossbar to the right, enclosed within a rectangular cartouche formed by a double line border. The tamga device, a trident-like tribal emblem of Mongol royal authority, is boldly struck in high relief. The rectangular frame is itself contained within a double circle of lines running along the coin's periphery. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, characteristic of the hammered coinage of the Bulghar mint during the reign of Khan Muhammad Uzbeg.

Reverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription disposed within the flan, without a formal cartouche, typical of the anonymous Bulghar mint dirhams of the Uzbeg period. The legend, written in a plain Naskh hand, proclaims the honorific title of the ruler. The coin surface shows characteristic hammered texture with an irregular flan edge and some weakness of strike in peripheral areas.
