Obverse description Central field occupied by bold Arabic legend in two or three horizontal lines reading 'Sultan al-Adil Abd Allah Khan', executed in a angular, quasi-Kufic style characteristic of late Golden Horde coinage. A marginal legend in cursive Naskh script encircles the central text, partially visible due to the irregular flan. The die is well-centred but the flan edges are ragged and slightly clipped, typical of hammered silver dirhams of the period. The silver surface shows natural dark toning with die flow lines visible in the field.
