| Reverse description | Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription naming the mint and the Hijri date, reading 'Darb Kiliya al-Makhrusa 770', rendered in the same angular script as the obverse. The mint name Kiliya (modern Chilia, on the Danube delta) appears prominently in the central lines, with the regnal or AH date 770 in the lower register. The marginal legend, partially off-flan due to the irregular planchet, carries additional pious formulae in cursive Arabic. The flan is of uneven thickness, consistent with hand-hammered production at a provincial Golden Horde mint. |
