Obverse description Central field bears a boldly struck Arabic legend in a characteristic Golden Horde calligraphic style, reading the name of Khan Abdallah. The script is rendered in a compact, somewhat cursive hand typical of mid-14th century Jochid dirhams, occupying the majority of the flan. The planchet is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with the hammered production technique of the period. No decorative border or inner circle is discernible.
