| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in a characteristic late Golden Horde cursive hand, proclaiming the royal titulature of the issuing khan. The inscription, reading 'Sultan The Just Ahmad Khan [ibn Muhammad Khan]', is arranged horizontally across the flan without a surrounding border. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped at the edges, consistent with hammered production. The die-strike is moderately centered, with portions of the legend occasionally running off the coin's edge. No figural imagery is present; the design is entirely epigraphic in character. |
