| Obverse description | Central field bears the Islamic shahada inscription arranged in three lines within a single circular border. A continuous marginal legend in Kufic Arabic script encircles the central text, running along the outer rim of the coin. The entire design is purely epigraphic with no figurative imagery, consistent with the reformed Islamic coinage introduced under Caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan in 77 AH (696 CE).
