| Obverse description | Central field contains the Shahada in Arabic script arranged in multiple lines within a circular border. The inscription reads the declaration of faith — 'no god but God, unique, Muhammad is the messenger of God' — in bold, angular Kufic-style lettering. A marginal legend encircles the central field, partially legible, containing a Quranic reference to the divine mission. The flan is irregular in shape, characteristic of hammered Nizari Ismaili coinage of the Alamut period. The strike is slightly off-center, as typical for this series. |
