Reverse description Epigraphic reverse in Kufic script presenting Surah Al-Ikhlas (Quran 112) in four lines across the central field: 'الله أحد الله الصمد لم يلد ولم يولد ولم يكن له كفواً أحد' (God is One, God is the Eternal Refuge; He neither begets nor is begotten, nor is there to Him any equivalent). The central inscription is framed by a linear circle with a beaded border, and the outer margin carries the mint and date formula in Kufic. The overall composition is austere and deeply struck, reflecting the canonical Umayyad epigraphic dirham type introduced by the reform of Abd al-Malik.
