| Obverse description | Central field bears the Islamic profession of faith (Shahada) in two concentric registers of Kufic script. The inner legend reads the kalima, while the circular marginal legend records the mint name al-Muhammadiyah and the AH date. Annulets are evenly spaced throughout the outer margin, serving as decorative separators in the traditional Abbasid hammered dirham style. |
