| Obverse description | Central field contains multiple lines of Kufic Arabic inscription arranged in horizontal registers within a single or double linear border. The legends proclaim the Taifa ruler's name and titles in the characteristic angular script of Andalusian hammered coinage. The field is slightly irregular in shape, consistent with hand-struck flan production. A marginal circular legend in Kufic script surrounds the central inscription, running along the inner border. |
